I Love Africa

Well family this week was so great!!!! I love the Great Zambia Lusaka mission!! but i forgot my planner and journal so we'll see how well i remember everything.
1. I HELD A PYTHON WHAAAATT?? my fear of snakes is now panono.... weirdly eenough i'm still more scared of fish than snakes.
2. Our new mission president arrived this past week!! President and Sister Kupu! They're coming up to the copperbelt tomorrow and i'm so excited to meet them!! we'll be having interviews on Wednesday!
3. our branch is too busy to hold a baptism this week so we had to push it back 2 weeks:( But Miriam, John, and Natasha should be getting bapited on the 23rd!

Well... good things are happening in the Ndola East area... always trials but always tender mercies as well.
We put the Chibessa family on date this past week for August 13th and we finally met the wife!!! She is really cute and even though our first lesson with her was the Word of Wisdom she accepted! they didn't come to church.... don't know why yet, but i still have so much faith for them!!!
We met with that family who contacted us for the Book of Mormon... they are good... well the wife is. haha the husband.... is ready to bible bash. We took Brother and Sister Thole yesterday to teach the Restoration, and we invited them to be baptized and the wife said yes right away, and then the husband was like disgusted with the idea... and at the end of the lesson he was like, "next time you come... i'm going to teach you." and my companion just starts busting up laughing so i start smacking her leg... awkard. But then to make everything even worse... the first time they bring us out coffee (on wednesday) so we have to explain to them that we don't drink it... then on sunday they bring juice for us... awkwakrd it was fast sunday... and of course Brother Thole was like, "maybe the missionaries would like to go first..." thanks brother thole... obviously sister thole took charge and explained that we were fasting.
The Mwiinga family:
sooo we have a recent convert Selina Mwiinga... and her whole family used to be tuaght but she was the only one who ended up getting baptized... but then her 2 sisters just got re interested and came to church on sunday and told us they want to be baptized now!!!! whaaaat?? Super exciting!!
John... hahah John.... He asks the funniest questions during our lessons. Like I wish I could even describe his questions... but he cares so much about the gospel and he already refers to the church as "his church" cute stuff..
Trials: So we had been teaching Betha, her older brother and younger brother. and I guess some of their neighbors called their mom in a different province and talked bad about the church so now they're not allowed to learn anymore:(
Preparation day: TODAY WAS SWEET. I saw a giraffe family, and held a snake. and then we went to something called the International Trade fair... it's like I was at a carnival back home, and there were all these dancers from differenct african countries. super cool. This continent rocks.
anywho! LOVE YOU ALL. I love being a missionary!! sorry to all you who I couldn't individually respond to today.... forgive me! We had no time today!! Love you! oh and apology for the pciture of me holding a baby....
Love,
Sister T

1 Corinthians 9:20-22

This scripture has definitely been my theme of the week!!!  we need to adapt to the positive cultures of where we are serving!!
20 And unto the Jews I became as a Jew, that I might gain the Jews; to them that are under the law, as under the law,that I might gain them that are under the law;
21 To them that are without law, as without law, (being not without law to God, but under the law to Christ,) that I might gain them that are without law.
22 To the weak became I as weak, that I might gain the weak: I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some.
Miracles after miracles after miracles!! Wow it's so great to be a missionary!!
Tina: (elisha's wife) well... her progression is coming slowly but surely! She knows EVERYTHING. we started reviewing lessons with her, and she was pretty much teaching us!! AND SHE PRAYED PEOPLE!!! and it was a very sincere prayer... I was in tears. ahh darn it these people steal my heart. But she promised to come to church... and she didn't. but it's okay... Elisha just needs to give her a little push. He is on a job search right  now, so he is never home.
Chibessa Family: So this family was a referral from Brother Justin a recent convert. Brother Chibessa is the one who pays for Brother Justin's transport each week for church... I guess they used to be drinking buddies... then they both found Christ, and changed their lives. Cool story!! but We have been teaching this family for about a month now! They have 5 daughters, but one is in Lusaka! And miracle... we invited them to be baptized and they accepted and then HE CAME TO CHURCH with his 2 daughters!!! and he said he'll come next week!! We need to meet the wife, but they'll get put on date for August 13th!
Miriam: Cutest little girl will be getting baptized on July 9th!!!
Samba family: okay so you all know the Samba family... well we put them on date for July 23rd... if they start coming to church. But THE CHURCH IS SO TRUE. So we were showing them pictures of the temple... and they got really nervous with the oxen around the baptismal font (they thought it was idols or something)... we didn't have an answer for them right then, but of course the church always has an answer... and it's straight in the old testament! We were able to answer their question, and man they were so happy.. and me i was jumping up and down i was so proud... haha shout out to seminary manuals.
Musonda: he is the guy that came to church last week because he heard MOTAB! and he came again, and we taught him and he is so prepared!!! He said that he always listens to motab, and it brought him up when he was in a low place in his life. He is really really good and we're planning on putting him on date for August.
We also had another guy named Aaron who we simply just contacted at the Simanwes house forever ago who was trying to bible bash with me come to church... and he had read the Restoration pamphlet and already has the strongest testimony of the church, and during gospel principles class he was bearing testimony of the Book of Mormon! Crazy! He is moving down to Lusaka, so hopefully he gets taught by the Elders down there.
Finally the last greatest miracle ever. So we get home last night, and the sisters had sent us a referral. His name is Bright and he found the Book of Mormon a while ago, so he contacted Church Headquarters online, and they gave him the sisters number, but he is actually in our area... and he has a FAMILY. oh my goodness we started jumping up and down... God really does prepare his children for the gospel. We'll be meeting him on Wednesday:)
funny stories:
1. we show up to see Selina, and there are all these youth there practicing this line dance... obviously me and my companion start joining, and hey these people can dance... oh and shake it hard core. there are some pretty funny videos of me trying to dance like them.... But hey i've just adapted to their culture:)
2. after Selina's, we go teach her neighbor named Russell.. we taught him once last week, and then when we went this week he was like, "oh I invited 5 friends" They all show up and..... PASTORS. hahahahah oh boy... Just trying to restrain myself from a Bible Bash. But we kept our cool... and it was actually a decent lesson. But just the way they talk you can tell that they are pastors.
3. We were at Tina's house and before we started the lesson we were showing her pilates... i dunno why. and my companion just DROPS IN THE SPLITS. oh my goodness i died laughing.
4. We were teaching the Plan of Salvation to John... and he starts asking questions like, "Does God look like a grandpa?" "Will I be able to date in the next life?" "Do spirits eat nshima?" They were all sincere questions but I couldn't stop laughing. my badddddd..
That was my week!! Families truly can be together forever!!!! Too many pcitures to explain from the past 2 weeks!! Love being a missionary, and I love this gospel! It makes perfect sense to the heart and the mind. That's the beautiful thing about it! Love you all!! have a wonderful week!

Karate Kid

Wonderful week in the Great Zambia Lusaka mission! Weeks just seem to fly right by! So happy to hear that Lake Powell was successful, don't worry next year i'll be laying it down on the water:)
Miracles all over the place!!
Betha: so betha is Justin Chanda's neighbor... and she would always come in and sit on our lessons but we really didn't pay too much attention to her... sorry betha. But turns out she has a really big desire to get baptized!!!! she has been comign to church and finally the YW president asked when she was getting baptized... and so she came with us to teach her and we invited her and she agreed for July 10th!!! She is 17 and just adorable.. i'll include a picture:) JOhn is also still on date for July 10th!
Esnart: once again... a person that I kinda overlooked.... but we started really teaching her, and she knows it's true. She is so powerful, and you can feel the spirit so strongly in her lessons... and she is just loving it. But we have one problem... she is the one who provides for her family, and she works on sundays.... this week we are going to talk to her about it, and hopefully she will get the courage to quit. She is married and has one son! Pray for her!
Samba Family: so we are now all very familiar with this family:) who I love somuch!! but we're still having a problem with church attendance!!! But we taught them this past week about temples and it was adorable... they really want to go so they can get sealed and Brother Samba even proposed again to Sister Samba to be married for the next life.. haha he calls her honey pie all the time... adorable. But for the first time ever in his closing prayer during the lesson Brother Samba prayed to see if Joseph Smith was the only true prophet, and if the Book of Mormon was true. and I felt the spirit so strong, so i'm hoping they did too. and then after he told me that whenever we are gone, they discuss it as a family, and he really wants to know. Miracles!
Once again we had a new comer show up to church this week! I guess he once heard MOTAB and he has seen the church but has nevercome before... but he finally came and he was really digging it! His name is Musonda!! We'll see what happens with him:) MOTAB CHANGES LIVES PEOPLE.
Update: So the stolen computers were found!! In a whole outside the church... hahahahahaha whoever tried to steal it... bless their hearts the plan didn't go too well.
President Erickson: President and Sister ERickson came up for their last time to the Copperbelt and we had a really good devotional with the members on vision. and how to make this into a stake one day.... We talked mainly about callings and giving every member the opportunity to have a calling... which will strenghten the members and keep them active!!!! Something that definitely struggles a little bit in this mission!! But I definitely had to hold back the tears... i'm going to miss them a lot, but i'm excited for President and Sister Kupu to come next week!! They are going to bring some great things into the mission!

funny stories:
1. so we show up at our investigators house... to find him doing this crazy karate stuff and he didn't see us walk in, and so we just watched him laughing our heads off for like 5 minutes... and then he ended up teaching us some karate... you'll see a video one day:)
2. So on Tuesday we go over to Elisha and Tina's place and i was asking how old their daughter was and they were like, "she turned 4 today.. but don't tell her... we don't have money to give her a birthday party" hahaha they didn't even tell her that it was her birthday... and so we promised to bring a cake, adn when we brought a cake 2 days later we asked if they had told her yet... nope... so we had to tell this 4 year old girl that it was her birthday.. haha she was so confused!!

SORRY WE WERE AT AN EMAIL SHOP AND THE INTERNET STOPPED SO WE HAD TO COME TO ANOTHER ONE SO NO PICTURES TODAY SORRY:(

LOVE YOU ALL

One Year Older and Wiser Too!

What a wonderful week in the city of Ndola/Lusaka!! We had zone conference this past week and it was just super amazing!!!! I hit my one year mark and how crazy is that??? Family I think we can all remember a year ago when we all had the flu and were all throwing up right before my farewell? hahah such good times.

Zone Conference: so so so good. so we combined as all of zambia.. so us from the copperbelt took the 5 hour drive down to Lusaka and it was so great to all be together. Since we don't have a temple in our mission we mainly focused on temple covenants and it was such a spiritual environment it almost felt as if we were in the temple. We talked mainly about the Law of Obedience, Consecration, and Sacrifice. We talked a lot about the differences and the similiarities... so so so good. ONe of my favorite scriptures my whole mission has been Samuel 15:22!!! it truly shows how we can't live the law of sacrifice and consecration without first being obedient. And what's true obedience without a willing heart? That is something that I've really focused on recently... Do I follow missionary rules because I want to or just because i'm supposed to?
President Erickson is preparing to leave in the next 2 weeks and it was a really great opportunity to look at what we have accomplished as a mission so far this past year. Sometimes I tend to think we're not accomplishing anything down here... but for having only 70 missionaries in this mission and covering 2 countries, we have really been doing some good work. So grateful to be part of the great Zambia Lusaka Mission.

Trials: so persecution will always come right?? The Ndola meetinghouse was broken into on saturday night and everything was stolen... crazy stuff. We only had sacrament meeting because police were there investigating. We think it was a member because who else would have known exactly where the 2 computers were... mavuto.

Miracles after miracles:

1. So last week we had a random guy named Nalasco show up to church, and we went to go see him this week and he is SO PREPARED. I guess he used to be taught by missionaries a long time ago.. but he is a soldier and so he got sent to DRC to keep peace and his first sunday back he came to church. He first found the church because we are right next to a bar... the irony i know... but he was drinking one night and then met the missionaries and since then he hasn't drinken once. He has 2 children and a wife who is schooling in a different province. he was sick this past week so he couldn't come to church but hopefully he'll get baptized in july!
2. John... John is Justin Chanda's cousin and he is once agian SO PREPARED. We show up and he was just searching for the truth. He has so many questions, and everything just made so much sense to him. He has come to church teh past 2 weeks and is on date for July 9th! So good.
3. So there is this member named Mercy... and she is so powerful. She lives with like 9 non members who just persecute her non stop about the church. But every time we go we are super nice to her family, and my companion invited her 2 cousins to church (which we've done like a thousand times) and THEY CAME TO CHURCH. and are letting us teach them this week.
4. The Samba Family.... I love them. When we asked about the Word of Wisdom... they looked so happy and said that is has improved so much. Brother Samba is having a hard time accepting that there is only one prophet in the world... but Sister Samba's testimony is just so strong that one day my friends. one day.

Grateful to be a missionary. So eternally grateful for this past year and all that i've been able to experience. I'll never be able to repay my heavenly father for the blessings that i've seen this past year but I hope to do all that I can to show how much I appreciate it. 6 MORE MONTHS LET'S GO TO WORK.

Love you all,
Sister Thueson

The Miracle of a Mission

Wowza this week was just so great!!!! But sad panono as well. Said goodbye to my homegirls Sista Zonna and my boy Sista Arok. Already missing the #squad but excited to see what the new copperbelt sistas will bring to the area.

so this week I wasn't able to be in my area that much, because my companion didn't get in until Thursday evening, but i was able to spend some time in the other sister's area which is always fun:) But of course Heavenly Father made up the difference and there were so many miracles that happened this week.

Tina: okay small things are happenign... but in missionary work they really are big things!! But we went on Tuesday and she had prepared this huge meal for us... but she made us cook... haha and we didn't know what to do, like she had prepared so much and we didn't want to offend her so we cooked and cooked and cooked. haha I was with Sister Brown and we just really built that trust with her. But then I took my new companion with me on Saturday and tender mercies happened! We explained the differnece between priesthood and holy ghost since her husband just got both last week, adn then at the end my companion asked her to pray and SHE DID!! FIRST TIME IN 3 MONTHS. i almost started crying and my smile was just so big... and she said she would come next week to church. keep praying for her!!!!

THE SAMBA FAMILY CAME TO CHURCH!!   no way no way no way!!! Seriously I freaked out.... they were a little late and couldn't stay for all of it but it was still a huge step. We followed up on WOW this past week and they said they still were drinking coffee... so we taught about it again and helped them see the true importance of it and then they came to church. aish keep praying for them!!!

Chisala: heeey he made big improvemnts too!!! He walked all the way to the church to have a lesson with us... and this is the one who wouldn't even accept the book of mormon before but after we taught Restoration it all made perfect sense to him and he accepted it. Seriously miracles.

We also had 3 new potential investigators show up to church!!! and I think they show some good potential!

Fast and Testimony meeting: hey I was so humbled yesterdsay.... every time i hear these members bear such powerful testimonies i am amazed... Truly these are the pioneers of the church down here in Zambia and they are facing just as much tribulation as they did back then. They are such an amazing example to me... one of the members just moved over an hour of a drive away... But he still comes each and every week with his 3 little kids. I wish you could all meet these wonderful members.

The Lord is very aware of all of us and as we have righteous desires and ask in faith I promise he will answer.

Also Sista Zohner got to see all my recent converts in blantyre this past weekend and this is what Fraiser said...

"Sister Thueson is a big reason for my baptism and the temple. I was taught by missionaries for 8 years, but she was a big part"

awwwwwwe I love all of them so much!!!!

I hit my one year this Saturday... I can't believe it, but i'm grateful for every day i've had and every day I have left!!

Love you all,
Sister Thueson

Change Happens for a Reason

Hey ya'll!!! Goodo goodo week in the city of Ndola! Sister zohner had Malaria for half the week so we only really had time to see our recent converts and our progressing investigators

first off... transfer news!!! Sista Z is leaving to the promised land of Blantyre to be with Sister Bingham. awwwwe They're gonna do great there!!! My new companion will be Sister Ratema from South Africa and i'm really excited! She has been on mission just a little longer than me, and I've heard she is a great missionary!! She will get here probably on Wednesday! Lessss goooo

second... Elisha (technically spelled Erisha) got Baptized!!! it was so great and such a tender mercy of the Lord!!! He was there an hour early... but of course no one else was haha (zambian time bo) But it was all meant to be because his family was running late as well.... and the whole time while we were waiting i kept thinking "there is no way his family is coming..." but then the Tholes showed up, and Sister Mercy and then we were about to start the service when walking in the gate came Tina, and the 3 little girls all dressed up. Obviously I just start crying while playing the prelude music, and then of course Sister Thole who is just the best best best gets up to go greet her and sat by her. The baptism service went very well, and smoothly and then Elisha gave such a wonderful testimony! he thanked us missionaries (Sister Simpson and zohner.... he can't say my name to save his lfie) for always calling him and reminding him to do family prayer, and obviously thanked Brother Thole for all he has done, and then gave a sweet testimony about his conversion story. Tina was smiling ear to ear.

Mpundu family: so we found out some pretty sad news this week. We were teaching just mercy and linda because brother mpundu was at work, and I was asking why their mom has been gone for so long... turns out they are getting separated:( They don't love each other, and I guess Brother Mpundu wasn't treating her that well... i dunno this is coming from a 15 year old girl, but mercy just broke down in tears telling us. Obviously I just start crying too, but I was just in complete shock. I'm praying really hard that Sister Mpundu will come back.

Samba family: We took the district president and we taught the word of wisdom!!! they took it really good... brother Samba kept trying to make exceptions like that drinking a little bit of alcohol is good for you... But President Kapato set it all straight no worries. They still haven't come to church but i'm not losing faith. I know they're prepared and I know they have a testiomny... they are just trying to overcome social status concerns. ya know the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints isn't really a popular church in Ndola Zambia. But we're getting there:)

funny story with Brother Samba... We ask them to pull out their Book of Mormons and he goes out to his car and pulls out the Restoration pamphlet... and we're like, "go to page 250" and he starts flipping through his pamphlet trying to find it... hahahahah his daughters and wife were just cracking up.

Goodbyes: so sister zohner had to say goodbye to everyone... and our recent converts took it hard. Mercy and Linda just started crying during our last lesson, mercy couldn't even finish her prayer, and even during all of sacrament meeting after sister zohner bore her testimony. Same with Selina... she just started crying. it was so sad.... it's probably one of the hardest parts of missionary work.

Funny stories:
1. At pick n pay we are now referred to as "regulars" and when we're not getting served fast, someone comes to serve us hahaha.
2. Sista Zohner was sick for half the week, so we had some great bonding time in the flat haha, but we got to watch the old Johnny Lingo cause it has the church stamp on it. Ironic because it is all about bride price, and then during combined priesthood and relief society the lesson was about bride price and how the prophets have commanded not to do it anymore.
3. Sister Violet made us lunch and yum yum yum rice and beans are the best. But we were talking, and I was asking her when her and Brother Nzima were getting married... they have been dating 3 years... and she said it will be next year, and then I asked her about the first kiss... I dunno girl talk, and they have only kissed ONCE for dating 3 years... I'm always going to use them as an example when I have to teach the Law of Chastity haha.
oh but then after we were sooooo full and we go over to Elisha and Tinas and they feed us too!!!!
oh wait it's not over... then we go over to Sister Mayeya's house and she feeds us too!!!!
I almost barfed... but my poor companion was still recovering from Malaria... man she almost barfed.
4. We were teaching Miriam who is the smartest 11 year old on the planet... and we were teaching plan of salvation and she asked why some of us are white and some black... and then she told us that she had heard that when God created us he bathed us first... and he bathed white people first and then the reason why africans are darker are because they bathed in the dirty water.... like whattt?? where is she hearing these kind of things?
5. We were going to teach Greg... but we had no where to teach him, and so we pulled up to Kansenji market, parked the truck, and had a lesson in the back. Yep... definitely felt like I was back up at the vard in high school... weird. But surprisingly it was a really good lesson!!!!

All in all, Missionary work always brings a smile to my face because i'm either super happy or laughing a lot about the funny thigns that happen.

Remember... "the key to our greatness is to remember our nothingness without Christ and His Atonement"

Love you all,
Sista Thueson

I Can Wear Pants!!!

New announcement from the First Presidency hahaha:
In the 230 missions, or roughly half of the Church's missions, where there is significant risk of mosquito-borne diseases, missionaries are strongly encouraged to wear clothing that covers exposed skin, especially arms and legs. Sister missionaries serving in the affected missions are encouraged to wear full-length dress slacks during proselyting activities. They will continue to wear skirts or dresses when attending the temple and during Sunday worship services, conferences and baptismal services. In areas where it is not acceptable for women (including sister missionaries) to wear dress slacks, they are encouraged to wear long skirts to protect themselves from mosquito bites.
The new guidelines apply only during the wet seasons, when the risk for mosquito-borne illnesses is high. Information is being sent to all mission presidents and will also be provided to newly called missionaries. Those areas include parts of Africa, Asia, Caribbean, Central America, Europe, Mexico, Pacific, Philippines and South America.

Where I'm going to get dress pants??? I don't know... But it's only during rainy season and we won't have rainy season until November.... So I'm good. But it is a little out of the culture for women to wear pants here so I don't know what's going to happen... But pretty cool stuff.

Anywho.... ELISHA PASSED HIS INTERVIEW. He was really excited! It was so funny... When we were going over the baptismal interview questions with him earlier in the week his wife kept getting the answers better than him.... Classic. But he is definitely ready, and so excited for Brother Thole to baptize him. Brother Thole is his idol for sure. But really cool we were teaching his wife Saturday night (he was in kitwe) and we had a really good lesson with her. We had given her a My Family book the lesson before that and promised we would explain it... She loved it! (Spirit of Elijah) and she had been talking to her mother about the names of her ancestors. She then asked us what will happen after Elisha's baptism and we just talked how he will get a calling and recieve the priesthood and be a member.... She got really serious and was like, "it's amazing.... I haven't seen Elisha go to church or touch a bible or pray for 8 years... And no he has gone to church for 2 months in a row. God really has answered my prayers." Amazing to see the changes she has seen in her own husband.... And she promised that one day she will get baptized and will stand at the front and bear her testimony and go to the temple with her family. (Sister Thueson pretty much in tears) We can't figure out why she won't pray or come to church... But she says she loves the lessons and everything we teach her.
Funny story: we got to her house and her daughters were now sick with malaria and she was like, "it's because we drink tea and coffee... I know it." Haha glad the word of wisdom has touched her heart.
This week was our week of new investigators!!! God answers our prayers:) our recent convert Justin Banda is just a champ... gave us 3 referrals this week 2 of them being fathers to families:) And we met with the fathers and they want us to meet their families this week!!!! Tender mercy! One is named Chibessa and one is Mr. Khunga who has a nephew who is a member in Manchester England (shout out to SJ). Hopefully as we continue to teach them their hearts will be softened and they will gain a testimony:) Other new investigators this week are Natasha a recent convert's sister... Jeff a college student, and a man who is helping us with a new flat we are moving into! Last week I told you about a Mr. Chisala and we ended up having a really good lesson with him! We are going to have to move really slowly but he was just really grateful to hear that we were Christians and he decided to not just believe the rumors but to learn for himself! We had sister Thole with us who obviously bore super powerful testiomny.
Natasha was so sweet in her lesson... In her pray she thanked  Heavenly Father that we were born and thanked him for the wonderful things we had done for her family. We asked her if she wanted to get baptized and she said yes, and then her older sister Selina did a fist pump and was like "Yes!!!" so cute.
I know you might all want a follow up on the Samba family..... they are making progress... very slowly. Didn't come to church again, but we are still praying hard.
Exchanges: I always love exchanges!!! I was with Sister Arok again and man it was so cool to see how much she has grown... i remember going on exchanges with her when she had only been on mission 3 weeks and we practiced and practiced how to teach the Fall of Adam and Eve and then yesterday she did it like it was no problem! She is so great and we had a lot of fun together!!! We mainly focused on setting goals... weekly and transfer goals for your spiritual self, your temporal self, and then for your area as a whole. And we noticed on their white board the other day that they wrote them on the board:) success.
funny stories:
1. am i a real estate agent or a missionary?? spent some few hours negotiating a housing contract for a new flat we are moving into... haha... let's just say my companion had to take over for me because i "was being too nice about it"
2. We were in our gospel principles class at church on Sunday and we were learning about gifts of the spirit... one being the gift of teaching and everyone said that Sister Zohner has that gift. (true statement) and then at the end of the lesson as Brother Thole is concluding... Barton interrupted as was like, "Let's go back to this gift that Zohner has.... i've heard so many pastors over my life, but then a humble young girl like zohner walks to my house and teaches me and changes my life... if anyone is doubting if this church is true they need to come talk to me." I know it sounds like a really cool story.. but it was Barton so it made it funny. but cool at the same time.
3. I guess this isn't too funny... but my companion woke up sick yesterday with the chills and aches but we went to church and all and we decided to still proselyte yesterday... and we get home and i just decided to randomly check her temperature and turns out it was 103.... trying to stay calm i call Sister Erickson who told me that I needed to take her to the clinic for a malaria test.... we will find out after emailing if she has it or not... poor girl.

New Favorite Scripture!!! It's in the book of Thessalonians 2:19-20... Paul is writing to his recent converts in that side of the world and he says,
"For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Are not even ye in the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ at his coming? For ye are our glory and joy."
and man is that not the truest thing you have ever heard... my recent converts truly do bring me the most joy in the world. I love them and love hearing their testimonies.

All in all life is good in Ndola Zambia. Transfer calls come this week and that always bring stress.. haha we always come home with icecream just in case we need to stress eat:) haha

Love you all!!
Sister Thueson
